The Lily Gokongwei Ngochua Leadership Academy was established in May 2021 to support the development of educational leaders in the Philippines and Asia. It is envisioned to fund, design, and implement effective and relevant leadership development programs for administrators and other educational leaders.
Named in honor of Mrs. Lily Gokongwei Ngochua, The Lily is an initiative of the Gokongwei Brothers School of Education and Learning Design (GBSEALD) in recognition of the crucial role played by educational leadership in promoting access to quality education.
The WPEL Hub
The Whole Person Educational Leadership (WPEL) Hub seeks to develop educational leaders who have a whole-person education philosophy and who can promote this in their respective higher education institutions. Its initiatives include:
WPEL Training and Mentoring Program for current and future HEI leaders to promote the WPEL framework (Depth, Horizon, Frontier)
Roundtable Discussions on 21st-century leadership issues to engage high-ranking educational leaders and create a network of educational leaders
Research on Asian higher education leadership to contribute to the understanding of appropriate leadership models and interventions for Asian higher education
The WPEL Hub is supported by the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia.
